Dear BBC Fellowship and Friends,
This Sunday the 23rd of August at our 10.30am Morning Service, Elder John Phenix will lead the service and Pastor Tim Gamston will bring us God’s word.
In part 4 of our summer series entitled “Chasing Wind, Finding Joy: the Surprising Message of Ecclesiastes”, Pastor Tim brings us this week's message drawn from Ecclesiastes 8: 1-17 with the title “Finding joy when life seems unfair”. Our particular focus will be on verses 14-17.
There are times when life feels unfair. Sometimes that feeling of unfairness is justified. People act towards us in unjust ways and we feel the unfairness of it.
At other times, the injustice we feel is a perceived injustice that occurs becaus
e someone has not given us what we feel we are entitled to.
· Either way this feeling of injustice can rob us of joy.
Ecclesiastes helps us navigate these feelings, and shows us how we can have true joy when life feels unfair.
If you are unable to join us in person, the morning service will be live streamed on the usual Broadstone Baptist Church YouTube channel starting at 10.30 am on Sunday. Please use the blue "Join the Service" above at 10.30am on Sunday.
